The Bank’s Short Sale Negotiators

I am working a Chandler short sale and to no surprise this file has hit a slight short sale bump like some tend to do. When negotiating short sales you expect little things to come along. These days it tends to be the bank’s short sale negotiators. Most banks give their short sale negotiators 30 days to review. During this 30 days, you will hate yourself and your file because you feel helpless. You used to be able to get the negotiator’s number or email to try and sweet talk them to hurrying up. These days the short sale policies are becoming more and more strict. Basic customer service reps will not give you short sale negotiators numbers! They just wont. It becomes more and more frustrating to deal with short sales but its always good to work in a field that helps others.

  1. Arrent most of the banks putting a freeze on short sales for the next many months to come? Making is impossible to actually make a short sale work.

  2. J Boyer,

Its ironic you say that. Someone gave me advise to watch out for that a few weeks ago. Luckily for me, I haven’t seen a delay or halt in the process. I was really worried at first because it sounds logical.

Where did you hear that there might be a delay?

  3. That’s great, I never thought about The Bank’s Short Sale Negotiators like that before.
